Monaco vs Dijon
France Ligue 1
Date: Saturday 9th November 2019
Kick off at 19:00 UK/ 20:00 CET
Venue: Stade Louis II.
Monaco has increased in recent weeks, but still get a reminder that there is still a long way to go. The one that occurred last weekend when they lost 1-0 Saint Etienne and it seems that the club would be happy to return home.
Stade Louis II in Monaco have won their last three games beat Nice, Rennes and Brest, and with a victory at the weekend the club could go up 3 or 4 places. They come into this game in 15th position with 15 points and three points clear of the bottom three.
Dijon is at 16 and moved out of the bottom three after a victory is highly unlikely over PSG last Friday. It is a remarkable result for a 2-1 win given that they lost the match at one point.
Dijon form has improved over the last month and they have won three of their last five games. Away from home they have won just once all season and their last away game ended in defeat when they lost 2-0 at Brest.
Monaco vs Dijon Betting Tips
That Dijon league's first ever win over PSG as they won 2-1 at the Stade Gaston Gérard last week. Mounir Chouiar and Jhonder Cadiz got a goal to Mustards when they take on a famous victory but it was even more of an achievement as Dijon sit bottom of the table when they kick off against Paris.
Dijon has been winless and without a goal in their three games before winning PSG but managed to raise the performance of a lifetime to beat one of the greatest teams of France in recent years. However, it should be noted PSG missed a whopping five 'Big Possibilities' so there was quite a lot of luck is needed, rather than it being a superb defensive display of men's Stephan Jobard.
This victory has lifted Dijon and 16 in the league, but they really have been in some pretty solid form of late, with just one defeat in six of their last Ligue 1 match. They had conceded four goals at the moment and scored five times in what has become a mantra that is relatively pleasant for the Burgundy side. Dijon could struggle in this match, though, as they have taken just four points from a possible 18 on the road this season. They have lost their last two games to go, one coming in the cup against Bordeaux (0-2).
Monaco would anticipate Dijon with delight as they look to bounce back from last week's disappointing defeat at the hands of Saint-Étienne. Monaco are usually arrogant in attack but failed to really put their opponents to the sword and they paid the ultimate price with les Verts escape with all three points.
Monaco has been very popular this season to the forefront of their outstanding, consisting of the league's top scorer Wissam Ben Yedder and top assister Islam Slimani, but they have to make do without the latter and suffer as a result.
Monaco is the second joint for goals scored this season but with Slimani out injured they failed to score for the second time since August. If Algeria does not come back, we feel terrible defense Monaco can be completely open, because they are drawn for most goals conceded in this season's Ligue 1, 22 hitting the back of the net's Benjamin Lecomte.
Monaco has been outstanding at home recently, however, with the side on a run of four consecutive victories at the Stade Louis II. Dijon has contrastingly poor on the road, so we'll go back the hosts to win this one despite their loss last week. Dijon was very lucky to survive the onslaught of PSG but we hope their luck will run out when they travel to face the team with the second most goals this season.
Monaco have won three of their last five games against Dijon, with both teams scoring in two of them; to market wins in each of the last six games of this royal club house, we are backing here. Monaco is not to be at their best either because of the absence Slimani but we still expect them to win 2-1.
