Match preview

Granada guaranteed a return to La Liga for the 2019-20 campaign courtesy finish second in last season's Segunda Division and for consolidation at this level is always going to be a priority club this term.
El Grana have not really finished higher than 15th in La Liga since the 1973-1974 campaign but on course for a top place-half season is approaching its final stage.

Indeed, a total of 46 points from 33 games has left them in ninth position in the table, two points behind seventh-placed Athletic Bilbao and six points behind sixth-placed Getafe.

It seems unlikely that Diego Martinez's side will be able to claim a Europa League finish, but there is no question that it has been a successful campaign for the club.

Granada lost two of three league games between June 19 and 28 Jun but will enter Saturday's clash with Valencia on the back of an impressive 2-0 win at Alaves.
Valencia relieved Albert Celades managerial duties following last weekend's 2-0 defeat at Villarreal, with Voro temporarily placed in charge of the club for the remainder of the campaign.

This is the third time that Voro has held the position, having previously also replaced Ronald Koeman and Cesare Prandelli, and out Celades not come as much of a surprise as reports claiming that Spain had lost control of the locker room during a difficult spell.

Former champions Spain took only one victory since returning to action after a period of lockdown, which came at home to Osasuna on June 21.

Los Che will enter this weekend's game behind the 2-0 defeat to Athletic Bilbao, meanwhile, which left them in 10th place in the table, some six points out of six.

Valencia has finished fourth in each of the last two seasons of their La Liga but are now fighting for a top-half finish; they have beaten Granada in their last two league meetings, though, including a 2-0 victory in the reverse match at Mestalla back in November.

Prediction Granada vs Valencia

Granada has not won against Valencia in a clash in the league until now. But they took the bragging rights from the last meeting in this place in the Copa del Rey.

Moreover, in spite of the recent two losses at home, Nazaries have a strong use of home ground advantage.

To make things worse for the Bats, the visitors have won none of their last eight on the road trip in the campaign.

Thus, a double opportunity to support host will be the best bet for passengers at 1.50 odds. Tip over 1.5 goals at odds of 1.40 will also be useful for passengers.
