Match Preview
If someone were to offer David Moyes four points from two games against Chelsea and Newcastle United at the beginning of last week, West Ham boss would accept without thinking twice.
However, after twice held the lead at St James' Park on Sunday afternoon, there was a sense of disappointment as the Hammers only record a 2-2 draw.
In the grand scheme of things, West Ham now sit four points clear of the relegation zone with five games remaining, the scenarios that previously seemed impossible after a run of three straight defeats.
While Moyes will be satisfied with it, the Scot knows that he must continue to encourage under-performing squad, who should not be involved in the scrap at the wrong end of the standings.
With each of the bottom three are becoming increasingly desperate for the win, head West Ham into the contest knowing that the opportunity may arise where the maximum points could put them on the brink of safety.
From the perspective of Burnley, they have put themselves in a position where they can attack the rest of their five matches as they bid to secure a return to the Europa League.
Since their 5-0 defeat away at Manchester City, back-to-back victories were recorded against Crystal Palace and Watford, followed by a hard-fought draw with Sheffield United.
Progress in results has left the Clarets just six points adrift of sixth-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers at the time of the team above them in the standings have fixtures against each other.
Although Burnley still have to go to champions Liverpool, Sean Dyche will feel that there is a window of opportunity to get the club into the mix for the sixth position ahead of a weekend trip to Anfield.

West Ham vs Burnley: Predictions
The Hammers secured a 2-2 draw in the last match-day, against Newcastle. While guests are not able to send three points on the board, they certainly do not give an impressive performance.
Meanwhile, the Clarets were held 1-1 at home by Sheffield United. It is near the equipment, as the Blades were followed for a long time, before firing in the equalizer nine minutes before the final whistle.
By looking at things, Dyche men have the upper hand. They are placed at the top level, and will after a European place. On the other hand, their colleagues tried their best to avoid relegation.
Occurs, the Clarets have a combined 5-0 scoreline from two h2h final match-ups, and has lost just once in their past nine fixtures overall - and this loss had come against Manchester City. Instead, their opposite numbers have a total of two wins from their previous 14 games.
Thus, it is expected Burnley to avoid losses Wednesday.
However, understand that the Hammers have been undefeated in their last two games, against two teams in the forms. Not only did they beat Chelsea with a 3-2 scoreline, but they stood their ground against Newcastle, who are in an unbeaten run.
