Inter Milan vs Hellas Verona
Italy – Serie A
Date: Saturday, 9 November 2019
Kick-off at 17:00 UK / 18:00 CET
Venue: Stadio Guiseppe Meazza – San Siro (Milan)
Inter's Serie A form has been outstanding this season - winning nine, drawing one and losing one of their 11 games to sit second in the table. As mentioned, Juve are not in action until Sunday night, which means that a win for the team Conte against Verona will move them to the top of the division.
Back-to-back wins over Brescia and Bologna in their last two have put them in a strong position, but Conte launched into angry rant following his team's 3-2 loss at Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Milan giants actually led 2-0 at the Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday night before BVB turned things around in the second half. The result has left Inter in third place in Group F, and Conte claimed that poor planning over the summer has left him with a squad not able to compete on all fronts this season.
January could also be a busy month for Inter in terms of incomings, but the Black and Blues will be well in the league this season. Indeed, Juve only team to beat them, while Romelu Lukaku has proven to be a very good signing with Belgian international managing nine goals in 11 league outings.
It will take some effort to break the dominance of Juve in Italy, especially when considering that Inter have not won Serie A since 2010. Conte seems to have installed a new belief, though, and it will be interesting to see if they can stay in the title race to get to Last trajectory.
Promoted back to Serie A via the Serie B last season's playoffs, Verona has made an encouraging start to the campaign. Indeed, a total of 15 points from 11 games has left them in ninth position, just three points clear of seventh-placed Napoli heading to the next set of fixtures.
Verona actually only won one of their first six league games of the 2019-20 campaign but have won three of their last five, including the success of back-to-back over Parma and Brescia, despite the latter's win over last weekend marred by allegations of abuse racial against Mario Balotelli.
Yellow and Blues have lost on their last two visits to Inter in Italy's top flight, including a 3-0 loss during the 2017-18 campaign. That said, they managed to claim a draw at the San Siro in 2014, while they will be fresher of the two teams have had a free week to prepare for the match.
The 1984-1985 Serie A champions have really struggled for goals this season, though, managing only nine of their 11 games; only Udinese, Sampdoria and SPAL has scored fewer at this stage, which is a record concerning heading into this weekend's clash with one of the top teams in the division.
Ivan Juric side has been much improved in the last game, though, and be sure cause Inter problems in the wake of harsh words Conte during the week.

Inter Milan vs Hellas Verona: Predictions
Inter Milan back in Serie A action after a heartbreaking loss in Germany - The Nerazzurri went from 2-0 in the first round losing 3-2 to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
They remain second in Serie A as they recorded a 2-1 win over Bologna last week. After four clean sheets from the first five games, the defense if their star went on to concede ten goals in six league outings the next.
D'Ambrosio, Sanchez, Asamoah, Politano and Gagliardini being on the treatment table.
The Scaligers has moved in the standings after a 2-1 win over fellow newcomers Brescia. In their second consecutive win, the third in Serie A last five games, one of the strikers really appeared - and it was a teenager, Eddy Salcedo, Genoa trainees, who broke the deadlock shortly after the break and eased things. With four wins, three draws and four losses, Hellas Verona was sitting in ninth position in the standings.
Badu, Kumbulla, Bessa, Bocchetti absent for long-term guests.
The Nerazzurri had a 3-1-1 record at the San Siro. They drew 2-2 vs Parma in their latest outing at this place. Inter had an average of 1.80 goals per game in their own backyard, while allowing 0.80 goals per match.
The visitors have claimed seven points on the road this season. Hellas Verona has defeated Parma 1-0 at the Ennio Tardini in their latest fixtures themselves. The Scaligers the netting 0.80 goals per game and conceded one per tie.
Antonio Conte's team should have enough in the tank to overcome the tricky side of Verona on Saturday, but most likely just ridiculous, so I'll add BTTS - Yes to it - Scaligers done well against Juventus and Napoli in the street.
By Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez (14 goals combined) in attack, Inter have scored at least two here.
I'll be back Belgian to score anytime against low block Verona.
