Match preview
A 1-0 defeat to Villarreal in their first match in hand, Celta received a form of positive race since returning to action after a break of three months.
On either side of draws with Real Valladolid and Barcelona, Oscar Garcia thrashed Alaves 6-0 side beat Real Sociedad 1-0.
The emphatic victory over Alaves standout is the result of that list, although Barca held - with the 88th minute equalizer Iago Aspas - is the one that sent shockwaves through the division.
Celta have spent a total of 12 match days in the last three, but eight points from the last 12 on offer lifted them to 16, eight points above Mallorca.
A point this weekend - thus denying their opponents three vital points - the Celts would take a giant step towards top-flight survival.
Unlike Celta, Mallorca has not been able to use the break to their advantage imposed coronavirus, losing four and drawing one since the restart.
Going further back, it is just two wins in 13 matches in all competitions for Los Bermellones, those wins coming against Alaves and Eibar.
With only five games to go after this visit of Celta, including travel to Atletico Madrid and Seville, it's now or never for the side of Vicente Moreno they must dodge falling.
Mallorca have the worst record away in the Spanish top flight, but they fared a little better at home, taking 21 points from 16 matches.
This is compared to 13 points from 16 matches away to Celta, although the shock Son Moix will of course be played behind closed doors.
The good news for Mallorca is that they are unbeaten in their last five meetings with Celta, a run that includes a 2-2 draw in the return leg it six months ago.

Mallorca vs Celta Vigo Prediction
In the last league matches Celta managed to attract the best teams in the table. The difference draw at Real Madrid finished 2-2 and the last draw in Barcelona with the same score line.
Despite a significant advantage in head to head stats, Mallorca is currently out of form. So I support the visitors to have a close link in the future.
The hosts did not get the scores in three recent matches. Meanwhile, Celta has three clean sheets in matches against Real Sociedad, Alaves and Valladolid.
Moreover, in their four straight games on the road Celta Vigo has kept a clean sheet. So we can expect goals of one team Tuesday.
