Maybe 4-0 Liverpool defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Thursday night was inevitable to some extent.
Klopp's men have the right to celebrate the achievement of something that was not done in the life of an entire generation of fans of the club, finally returning to their perch as the kings of England for the first time in 30 years, and, in an unprecedented style too.
Man City, however, was fired by the loss of the title so emphatic, and the fact that they had to give Liverpool a guard of honor before the game would fuel the desire to prove a point against their usurpers.
Add to that the demand for Pep Guardiola and his players in a match, but only against their biggest rivals for domestic trophies, and it was a perfect storm in many ways - one that Liverpool could brush reasonably out as "one of those days.
In the grand scheme of things, the result did not matter much; Liverpool are already champions and still boast a 20-point lead over their nearest challengers, even after the defeat.
That said, it will hurt again - less than a 4-0 defeat to Man City would normally hurt - but it will hurt anyway. interviews bristling after Klopp match were evidence of this, if necessary.
The Liverpool boss had said just the accumulation of kickoff and insisted he had no problems with the attitude of the players during the game itself, they were simply beaten by the team more clinical night.
The Reds had plenty of chances themselves and on the pole while things were still goalless, but it is the final score that people remember and Liverpool will certainly want an answer to this weekend.
On paper, there are not many better accessories for them to provide this response; Aston Villa arrived at Anfield on the longest run without current win in the Premier League, having taken just two points from the last 24 on offer to them.
It is therefore not surprising to see the languor of Dean Smith's side down the table, although they actually climbed a place without play during the week courtesy heavy defeat to Bournemouth at home to Newcastle United.
Villa sit in the relegation zone, however, and the victory of West Ham United on ways to Chelsea they are a point away from safety against only be in the last three on goal difference as was the if even after their 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
It is not an unassailable gap, of course, but the shooting is difficult with Manchester United Villa, Crystal Palace, Everton and Arsenal to come after this one, and then a final showdown potentially decisive days with West Ham.
Smith's side are likely to need a few shocks along the way if they are to remain so, but would not be if they take something Anfield on Sunday.
Even without the likelihood of a set of Liverpool, the statistics make it look like the worst match-up can for Villa.
Liverpool are on the best winning streak in English top flight history having taken maximum points in each of their last 23 outings at Anfield - a run that dates back to January 2019 - while their unbeaten record on Merseyside is located in 56 matches since April 2017.
Villa, in contrast, have only won two of their last 34 games outside the top flight and have conceded in each of their last 23 - they never run in the Premier League era.
Liverpool have only lost one of their last 24 home games against a team to start the day in the relegation zone; Villa took just two points from their last 15 games outside the top flight against teams from the top day of the table.
Villa also failed to win any of their 15 outings against teams currently in the top nine of the table this season, while Liverpool have dropped points in only four games throughout 2019-20.
Most statistics make grim reading for Villa then, but there are some reasons for a glimmer of hope - not least Liverpool have now lost five of their last nine games across all competitions, which is much that they had lost their previous 76.
The Reds have also lost more games in the league this season than they did last season, and another defeat see beaten in the Premier League back-to-back games for the first time during the reign of five years Klopp.
A Villa victory would rank among the greatest upsets in the history of the Premier League, but statistically speaking so does the triumph of Watford on the Reds in March, and Villa are hoping that Liverpool have now added achieved their main goal of winning the title.
There is still a lot to fight for as long as guests are concerned, however, including their place in the ranks of the greatest football teams ever English.
Five wins from their last six games is that they need to overcome Man City records for most points and most wins in a season, so that would leave them on track to record the largest margin win the title too .
Liverpool still have games against Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, Burnley, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United to come so that they are confident of picking those five wins, although it requires them to be on the ball until the end with at least four of those teams may have more need of points as men Klopp.
Villa are certainly in this range, although that would be a major shock if they avoided the first tick of the goal of five Liverpool victory.

We could also see a first start in the league for young Neco Williams, who has impressed in recent cameos and could afford Trent Alexander Arnold rest.
Aston Villa

Prediction
Liverpool 3-0 Aston Villa
Make no mistake, Liverpool were extremely disappointing against Manchester City, to say the least. However, if there is one thing the Reds have become accustomed to under Jürgen Klopp, it is to bounce back from a horrible result. To make things easier, they face the worst team on the form in the Premier League now at Aston Villa.
While Dean Smith & co. could feel the opportunity to snap up a complacent side a Liverpool side who would harm could make a long working day for visitors. Expect a performance by the commander Premier League champions recently crowned with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane producing a masterclass. We expect a 3-0 win for Liverpool.
